Beach Weddings 101
Here are six tips to help you plan the best possible beach wedding.
Accessibility
One of the main things to consider when planning a beach wedding is accessibility for your guests. Sometimes getting to the beach can be quite involved, long walks on boardwalks, through the sand, and over dunes. Make sure that there is a plan to make sure that everyone can make it to the ceremony including grandma!
Sounds of the Ocean
The sound of the ocean and waves can be a beautiful thing. When you are trying to exchange your vows and no one can hear, it can be quite a dissimilar experience. Make sure you have a plan to make sure that every word is heard. This may include a portable microphone and speaker or a windscreen of some type.
Winds
If you have ever been to the beach before you know that it can get quite windy. You need to make sure that all your décor is tied down or heavy enough that it will not be affected by the wind. Choose sturdy items or smaller items that can be secured down.
Shade
Sunshine is great, but sometimes you can only take so much. Make sure that you have some type of relief from the sun at your beach wedding. A canopy, tent, or umbrellas are all effortless ways to provide your guests with some breaks from the sun.
Food
If you are serving food on the beach, you must make sure that it is safely stored and safe from all the sand. Heat can destroy certain dishes, so opt for items that can handle the heat. One of our best suggestions is not to serve food on the beach, to have your reception and food at a separate location.
Attire
Choose something that is both stylish and breezy. You want to look good, but you also want to be comfortable.
Sparklers
Sparklers can be wonderful at a beach wedding. Make sure you have a high quality torch lighter and then use the lit sparklers to light the unlit sparklers. We suggest 20” sparklers for all of your beach wedding needs.
